Have you ever had one of those days when God was working in your behalf, but you couldn't see it?
Yes! Since this is a public forum, I would like to share as little details as possible, so I will try to describe my situation as vaguely as possible! It was entrusted to me, an extremely difficult, yet important responsibility for quite a long period of time. I cried out to the Lord countless times for understanding of why I was receiving such resistance and negative treatment from others when I KNEW I was in God's will. I also ultimately cried out to God for release from my responsiblity. It went on until I was certain I could bear no more. It was not until the very end that I saw God's Hand in my circumstances. The ending of it was so much more than I could have ever asked for or imagined! (Ephesians 3:20
ReplyDeleteNow to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us) I look back at my journey now and realize how much God grew me and see all the things He taught me...patience, endurance, undconditional love, forgiveness, dependence on Him for my strength, self control, humility and so much more. He stood up for me in a way that I never could have!!! Whatever you are going through, know that God is there. Nothing is a surprise to Him and He is not pacing the Heavens wretching His hands pondering His next move. He has a wonderful, beautiful plan for your life..."For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jerimiah 29:11
Well said, Debbie. And yes - certainly! All the craziness that happened here when our school was swirling down the drain, there certainly were times when I had a delayed reaction in recognizing God's hand and provision in the way events played out, but there's no doubt whatsoever He was both protecting and providing for us, as much as it hurt at the time.
ReplyDeleteYES! When I decided to follow God and go to Africa. The team planned the trip and set the dates. Several months prior to leaving the Doctors decided that we needed to change the dates so that they would out of their offices ten days each in aug. and sept.Months later on the very day that we were originally to have landed in Dar es Salaam terrorists blew up the American Embassy. We would have had so much trouble getting into Dar and getting our 20+ bags of supplies thru customs had we landed that on Aug 6. God truly kept us and those who were to meet us at the airport safe and out of harms way. And then He very much blessed our trip.
