I found the persuasion of Hobab to stay with them interesting, because I couldn't tell if they were successful in their persuasion or not - did he stay? Did he go? Is he ever mentioned again?
Also the bit with Miriam and Aaron speaking against Moses... I wonder why only Miriam was made leprous and not Aaron? Had it really been all her idea, perhaps? Or was it because of Aaron's position as priest that he was kept from that isolation period?
