Day 195: Proverbs 10, 11 and 12

He who refreshes others will himself be refreshed. (Proverbs 11:25)
It can be an enlightening exercise to write one's own obituary. What do we want others to say about us after we're gone? The trick is to not stop with writing those kind words, but then to live the life that would make your self-written obituary fitting and true.
The writers of Proverbs assert that what goes around comes around. Whether it's generosity or greed, kindness or malice, the things we do have a way of coming back, either to bless us or to haunt us.
Jesus said, With the measure you use, it will be measured to you (Matthew 7:2). Wow! It's my choice!
With the measure I use, it will be measure to me. My choice. Just a few verses earlier we read: A kind man benefits himself (v. 17).
Every life writes its own obituary. What's your life writing?
